ChimeOut™ Silencer FAQs

ChimeOut™ is a wind chime protector that temporarily silences your wind chime by holding the tubes in place. It helps prevent the tubes from striking one another during strong winds while allowing you to leave your chime hanging outdoors. It also offers a convenient solution if you'd simply like to enjoy a quieter outdoor space without taking your wind chime down.

Simply slide ChimeOut™ between the chime tubes, rotate it into place, and allow it to rest on the striker. The insert gently holds each tube in place, preventing the tubes from contacting one another until you're ready to enjoy your chime again.

No. ChimeOut™ installs in seconds while your wind chime remains hanging. No tools or hardware are required.

ChimeOut™ is compatible with all Wind River chimes (except the Festival 8-tube chime).

Some Wind River chimes feature five tubes instead of six. For 5-tube chimes, one notch on ChimeOut™ will remain unused. This is completely normal and does not affect how the product fits or protects your chime.

ChimeOut™ was designed specifically for Wind River chimes. While it may fit some other wind chimes with similar tube sizes and layouts, we cannot guarantee compatibility outside the Wind River collection.

Yes. ChimeOut™ was created to help minimize tube movement during strong winds by holding the tubes securely in place. While no accessory can eliminate every risk associated with severe weather, ChimeOut™ provides an added layer of protection without requiring you to remove your wind chime.

ChimeOut™ is designed to prevent the tubes from striking one another or having the striker hit the tubes. This will greatly reduce or eliminate your wind chime's sound under normal conditions. Extremely strong winds may still cause slight movement depending on weather conditions.
