This month, we’re honored to offer our support to Just Neighbors, an organization which provides legal services to immigrants. For the month of October, Wind River Chimes will donate 20% of all online sales towards this organization in support of its mission.   Just Neighbors was founded in 1996 by pastors and attorneys of the United Methodist Church, to develop a practical response to the legal challenges that low-income immigrants face in the United States. They recognized the need to assist immigrants of all faiths and nationalities and to treat immigrants with compassion and hospitality.   The organization provides immigration legal services to low-income immigrants...

Luke Croushorn @ 2020-09-02 23:02:08 -0400

This school year is unlike any other in our country’s history. Students, teachers, and administrators are facing an unprecedented challenge as they navigate returning to school in the midst of a pandemic.   That’s why this month, Wind River will be donating 20% of all online sales to educational charities, including the innovative BELL Foundation.   The BELL Foundation (Business Empowering Lifelong Learners) works with local business partners to strengthen the community by funding programs at area schools, including innovation grants, literacy, character development, diversity awareness, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and other special projects.   Wind River is...

Charity of the Month: Brain & Behavior Research Foundation

Alicia Stevens @ 2020-08-24 13:30:57 -0400

The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation’s (BBRF) mission is to alleviate suffering caused by mental illness, by awarding grants to organizations involved in mental illness research. The Foundation’s administrative costs and fundraising efforts are done through outside grants, so 100% of all donor contributions for research go directly to the BBRF.   Since its inception in...

We’re all feeling the weight of COVID-19. But in the communities where Compassion International works, things are becoming desperate. That’s why this month, 20% of all online wind chime sales will be donated to support Compassion International’s ongoing mission.   Advocating for children in poverty for over 60 years, Compassion International is currently working to provide food, grocery vouchers and access to medical care for the most vulnerable families affected by the global pandemic.   Compassion International is unique among child advocacy programs in that it works through local churches to help children in poverty fully mature in every facet of...

Charity of the Month: Red Cross

Luke Croushorn @ 2020-06-23 08:52:51 -0400

Humanity. Impartiality. Neutrality. Independence. Voluntary Service. Unity. Universality. These are the seven fundamental principles that guide the American Red Cross (ARC) and their millions of volunteers, members, and staff. With numbers this great and ambitions this bold, the ARC is one of the most universally recognizable humanitarian organizations on the planet. And along with that, one of the most impactful.   So this month, Wind River is proudly supporting their efforts by donating 20% of all online sales to their life-changing mission.   Established nearly 140 years ago in response to the era’s lack of emergency medical care, founder Clara Barton saw the...
