The stake is still 1/4" powder coated steel, the measurement tube is still indestructible polycarbonate. We've just traded the copper flute for custom-molded resin. Still durable, still cool, still made in the USA. What's not to love? This rain gauge should be brought in during the coldest winter months but won't explode in the first hard freeze like a glass rain gauge might.
